LOST IN GOLDEN DREAMS
“When I design and work on the World of Katayoon, one of the things that I like to focus on is the reality that is created for the women who wear my designs.
Each dress has its own fantasy, a reality that belongs to the occasion in which the dress is being worn in, whether it is a bold and bright ballgown or a very elegant and classic evening dress.” - Mahtab Jamali
“I design with the hope to inspire expressions of femininity, and the strength that women embody.” - Mahtab Jamali
“With every thread I add a new dynamic to my garments, creating an expression of femininity and freedom. I believe that freedom is not necessarily expressed through loose-fitting dresses, but ultimately lies in the wearer’s comfort - my designs may introduce a structured style, but the woman wearing it will always feel a sense of empowerment.” - Mahtab Jamali

“Every woman who has worn a Katayoon dress physically experiences a transformation towards the extraordinary, even with the simplicity of the cuts.” Jamali tells HER magazine New York.
“I don’t believe women should hide their shape in order to express their strength. Women are strong regardless of their physical shape and there is nothing more beautiful than a strong woman who knows herself. Strength is a mindset and our clothes are an extension of this.
I love applying this philosophy to every one of my designs, especially my made to measure garments. Strong women deserve to stand out, which is why I take so much pleasure in designing one-off pieces tailored and unique to the woman wearing them.” - Mahtab Jamali
The Signature dress
Katayoon’s exquisite cuts and designs are ever present in our signature black dress.
“I have always believed that what we wear can undoubtedly change the way we feel and can greatly effect our mood. We wear clothes which reflect how we feel and how we want others to portray us.
This is why from the very start of my career I have always designed garments with bold prints as they can represent a lot of different emotions and feelings. My designs represent charm in femininity, fire in seduction and power in the wearer.” - Mahtab Jamali
